MANGING DIRECTOR

Doug is a senior executive with close to 30 years energy industry experience with extensive transactional success in LNG infrastructure development and marketing.  Doug was formerly the CEO of Golar LNG where he successfully originated, developed, and closed on approximately $US 2.7 billion in floating LNG assets, including the world’s first and only commercially operating floating production vessel. He is also the Chairperson of Methanex Corporation, the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol.

DIRECTOR, COMMERCIAL AND FINANCE

Matthew was previously a Principal of Delfin LNG which permitted the first floating liquefaction project in North America. Before that Matthew worked at several investment funds in London and New York where he was responsible for equity and debt investments in the energy sector. Matthew has a bachelors degree from Georgetown University and a graduate degree from Cambridge University.

DIRECTOR, PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Hugo is a senior executive with 25 years of experience in the off-shore energy infrastructure industry.  During his career, in the capacity as either the project manager or the chief technology officer, Hugo has led the successful design, construction and commissioning of over 20 floating assets including FPSOs, FSRU conversions, FSRU new builds, and a floating LNG production vessel. Hugo was previously the Chief Technology officer at Golar LNG.

CO-DIRECTOR, PROJECTS

Morten has more than 20 years experience designing and constructing floating production vessels, primarily in the capacity of project manager or project director. Projects delivered include 4 FPSOs, an FSRU and most recently the worlds first FLNG conversion, Hilli Episeyo, which has been in commercial operation since May 2018. Positions held include chief technology officer at Golar LNG and Sea Production. Shortly after leaving university Morten also worked on the conversion of a platform for the multi-national spacecraft launch service, Sea Launch. Morten has a MSc degree from the NTNU technical university in Trondheim.

CO-DIRECTOR, PROJECTS

Arve has more than 20 years experience in the LNG midstream, and upstream oil and gas industries. He has a strong background in project execution, commercial management and business development, particularly with regard to floating production projects, including FLNG, FSRU and FPSO projects. Before joining Helm, Arve spent almost 10 years with Golar LNG, most recently as Director of FLNG Development and before that as Commercial Manager and Deputy Project Manager of the Hilli Episeyo FLNG Project. Arve graduated with a Masters degree in mechanical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 1996.
